Review - JUJU Cosmetics Aquamoist 100% Hyaluronic Acid Essence

Overall rating - 5/5
I would repurchase and recommend this product.

What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid (aka glycosaminoglycan) is used in skin care to promote hydration and collagen generation. Because of it's hydrating and collagen promoting benefits this ingredient is often used in anti aging or anti wrinkle products.

The packaging is great, it's hygienic, secure and portable. Comes in a glass bottle with a plastic pump that has a tight cap. The product consistency reminds me of aloe vera, but more runny and not sticky. When applied to the skin it kinda melts into a very light watery consistency and spreads very easily. I find that the finish can be a little tacky at first but does sink in after a minute. Containing only 4 ingredients, Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol and Methylparaben, this product is oil free, fragrance free, and also color free. It does contain methylparaben, but given the rest of the ingredients this product needs something to keep it safe for use. With out it, your bottle of essence will become the hotspot for bacteria. The scent of this product is close to none.

I have extremely dry and sensitive acne prone skin. I was looking for a product to help with the dryness and dullness. Normally I only get really bad dry skin in the winter time, but this summer my skin totally freaked and got all gross on me. I have been using the serum day and night for about 3 months and I have noticed a good improvement on the condition of my skin. My skin is smooth and slightly firmer and does not feel gross and scaly anymore. I've been using this with an oil free moisturizer, that wasn't actually moisturizing enough to use on it's own, and I think the combo has made my t zone less oily overall. If you have a oil free gel or lotion you feel is too light, I highly recommend using this product with it because it seems to help add that moisture. This essence will be beneficial for those with dry, sensitive, aging, dull, and even oily skin. I would definitely recommend this product for those living in extreme weather climates, especially those who work inside where the air conditioning or heat is always on. I've also been using this product under BB cream and the results are great.

This is a no nonsense moisture booster. In my experience it seems to help other products work better as well. Very happy with this product. =]

Have you tried hyaluronic or collagen products? I see these ingredients in a lot of Asian skin care products.
